Best Examples of Church and Ministry Squarespace Website Designs and Inspiration (Part 1)

Using Squarespace for your church or ministry's website design is a great way to be able to manage your websites information and events in house without paying for an expensive website developer each month. I always guide my clients through a step by step process of seeing other websites and gathering inspiration for their own projects.

A big part of deciding what direction to go is visual, so it makes sense to take the time to see other sites and talk about the colors, designs, text, link placement and layout, and overall vibe the website gives to you as a reader. Once the main purposes of your website have been established, you can proceed with deciding how it all works together to help people feel welcome within your congregation or organization.

I've included notes on some of the 'Site Strengths' of each site - what helps it really stand apart from it's competitors! Let's check out the examples below!

Site Strengths: Apart from being so beautiful, She Knows Love ministries also has a strong layout of content. A direct welcome message assures readers they have found a safe place, followed by direct links to the online store. Finding sermon archives and learning where to attend is easy, and there's no doubt there's lots happening to join in on. Network of Hope

Website Design By: Knapsack Creative

Site Strengths: There is no doubt from this site's home page exactly what they are helping the community with. Instead of simply leaving a mission statement (which can sometimes be a bit vague), they follow up with images and links showing the kinds of community work they do, including links and headings that are written with educating the reader in mind, such as "How we're promoting lasting change", and "Ways to Get Involved". Break it down simply for readers so they know exactly what to do next!

Nechako Community Church

Website Design By: Stanley Creative (Yours Truly 🙂 )

Site Strengths: Just a reminder - if you want to stay simple, you can! This small town church contacted me asking for an upgrade to their one page website by expanding it, but asked to keep the website very clean and uncluttered. They chose to keep the home page clean, and let the links at the top and bottom of the page speak for themselves. Calm and subtle colors make the site easy on the eyes and appealing to many people, instead of just a few.
